Hosting Saturday Night Live seems like a rite of passage for most celebrities, but not everyone gets the honor. Despite being ultra-famous, these huge stars have never hosted SNL.

Jennifer Coolidge
HBO Entertainment
Despite being one of the funniest women on the planet and having a major resurgence in popularity thanks to her role on The White Lotus, Jennifer Coolidge has never hosted Saturday Night Live. The star has been parodied on the show, though, and even complimented impressions mastermind Chloe Fineman on her impression of Coolidge.

Zendaya
HBO Entertainment
There are few young stars with as much power in Hollywood as Zendaya, but she has yet to be tapped for the variety show hosting gig. Neither Zendaya nor SNL seems to be going anywhere anytime soon, so we figure it’s only a matter of time before the actress makes her sketch comedy debut.

Denzel Washington
Parkes + McDonald Image Nation
Denzel Washington can do it all. In addition to his two Oscars, Washington has a Tony, so he’s clearly not afraid of a live audience. But even with his unbelievable resume and long tenure in Hollywood, he’s never been the host of Saturday Night Live. We’d love to see him on that studio 8H stage, though.

Leonardo DiCaprio
Red Granite Pictures
Leonardo DiCaprio must be too booked and busy to host Saturday Night Live . That’s the only logical reason we can think of as to why he’s never done the job. Leo, if you’re reading this, please consider hosting. Colin Jost and Pete Davidson both met fiancees through the show, so it might be a way for you to find love, too.

Sandra Bullock
Alcon Entertainment
For some strange reason, a romantic comedy queen, Sandra Bullock, hasn’t hosted Saturday Night Live. She hasn’t even been included in a sketch. Bullock has shown her sketch chops on The Tonight Show with SNL alum Jimmy Fallon, so she’s not unqualified to host. We’re sure she’d do a fabulous job.

James Marsden
Walt Disney Pictures
James Marsden has had a steady career in Hollywood, but he hasn’t hosted Saturday Night Live. Marsden has had roles in comedies before, and his part on Jury Duty proved he’s got the improv skills for live television. Consider this our petition to get James Marsden to host SNL.

Emma Watson
Warner Bros. Pictures
Of all the Harry Potter stars, Daniel Radcliffe is the only one who’s hosted Saturday Night Live . The closest we’ve come to seeing Emma Watson on the show is when Lindsay Lohan played Hermione Granger in a Harry Potter sketch back in 2004.

Johnny Depp
Walt Disney Pictures
A talented character actor, Johnny Depp would kill it on Saturday Night Live. Given his enormous fame and incredibly successful film career, it’s wild that he’s never hosted. He’s been the butt of plenty of SNL jokes, notably when the cast lampooned his defamation trial with ex-wife Amber Heard.

Tom Cruise
Paramount Pictures
Amazingly, Tom Cruise has never hosted SNL despite plenty of his friends, former co-stars, and even two of his ex-wives having taken on the role. There are several fan theories as to why Cruise hasn’t hosted, some of which concern his religious beliefs. Cruise has been impersonated on the show, and he’s been mentioned several times during “Weekend Update.”

Will Smith
Village Roadshow Pictures
Will Smith is comedy gold, but he’s strangely never been the host of Saturday Night Live. At the height of his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air fame, he would’ve been perfect to pull double duty as host and musical guest. Perhaps someday, he can grace Studio 8H with his hosting presence.

Harrison Ford
Lucasfilm Ltd.
Harrison Ford has been acting since the late ‘60s, making his career in Hollywood longer than the tenure of SNL. Despite being a formidable presence in Tinsel Town, Ford’s never been on the show. He has been impersonated, though, and some might say that’s more of an honor than hosting.
12 of 19
Al Pacino
Universal Pictures
While some stars are members of the Five-Timers Club, others are in a separate class, those who haven’t hosted but have been impersonated over five times. Al Pacino could be the president of the latter as both hosts and cast members alike have given their best Pacino a go on the show. Pacino’s just too busy performing Oscar-worthy work to host Saturday Night Live himself.
13 of 19
Angelina Jolie
Relativity Media
Despite being one of the most famous actresses in the world, Angelina Jolie has never been on Saturday Night Live. Like Al Pacino, she’s been impersonated several times by both hosts and cast members. Her ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton, hosted while they were married, but she has yet to do the job.
14 of 19
Brad Pitt
Fox 2000 Pictures
Neither half of Brangelina has hosted SNL . Brad Pitt has made cameos on the show, most notably as Dr. Anthony Fauci amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but he’s never been the host. Considering his involvement with the show, we assume his never hosting is by choice, but we’re not certain. We are sure we’d love to see him host, though.
15 of 19
Keira Knightley
Walt Disney Pictures
Keira Knightley was one of the biggest movie stars in the 2000s. With two Oscar nominations under her belt and known for movies like Pride and Prejudice and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Knightley was hard to ignore in the aughts, yet she never hosted Saturday Night Live.
16 of 19
Jessica Alba
The Weinstein Company
Jessica Alba hasn’t hosted Saturday Night Live, but she has made an appearance on the show. Alba was one of the lucky stars to be featured in the digital short “I Just Had Sex” in 2010 when The Lonely Island videos were just about the best thing on television.
17 of 19
Julia Roberts
Touchstone Pictures
Of all the stars on the list of those who haven’t hosted SNL, the one we’re certain has been asked is Julia Roberts. And she’s a great ask. She’s a romantic comedy all-star with an Oscar. Of course, she’d be great on the show. Unfortunately, Roberts has turned down the opportunity out of fear she wouldn’t do well, a concept we can’t quite wrap our heads around.
18 of 19
Christian Bale
Warner Bros. Pictures
Perhaps Lorne Michaels has something against Batman because several of the character's most notable portrayers haven’t hosted SNL. While that’s likely not the reason Christian Bale hasn’t lent his talents to the variety show, it’s the only one we can think of that would make any sense.

Rachel McAdams
Broadway Video
Rachel McAdams isn’t necessarily known for her comedy roles. Still, one of her most iconic roles is in Mean Girls , one of the most iconic comedies of the 2000s, and she knows Tina Fey, making it, at the least, interesting she hasn’t hosted Saturday Night Live. We’ll hold out hope that she’ll grace the stage one day, though.
